This year Ike has attended Building Blocks preschool. It is a wonderful place and we are sad to say goodbye. Can't believe my baby is going to kindergarten.

For Derby weekend we had a visit from some good friends in Washington. Krista & Mike Lindhorst and their friends Ally and Ryan Moses. So fun to have guests. We started out the weekend by touring Ashford Stud horse farm. Very beautiful but a boring tour.
This was out 3rd annual Kentucky Derby party. Hats were required and the Mint Julip (virgin) were awesome!!

Josh turns 11!
Hard to believe Josh is 11. This last year has had the highest highs for him and the lowest lows. We've long worked with talented professionals to figure out Josh and to help him with the things he struggles with. It has been a long road. One I would not like to repeat. About 8 months ago things got bad. REALLY bad for Josh and the family. Truthfully, it was a blessing that things got so bad because we were able to find a solution. Josh was diagnose with early onset bipolar. Not something a parent dreams of dealing with but at least it provided us with answers and medication that would finally make life for Josh easier and manageable. I had given up hope that Josh could be "normal" but it has happened. He is now (mostly) happy. He has more confidence and life is as it should be. Much better.
For his birthday we took a few friends to skate and play laser tag. So fun.

Spring Break Trip - 2012
I decided we needed to get out of our house for Spring Break so we packed the car and headed for Delaware. Wade's brother moved there last year. My kiddos were missing their cousins! We spent about 5 days and saw lots of fun stuff. DC, Amish, Philly. I loved their home. It is an older home on a HUGE beautiful lot. It was such a fun week. We need to go back!

Spring Break - Intercourse... Pennsylvania
Intercourse, Pennsylvania. Yep, That's the town name. It's an Amish community. So beautiful. Almost made we want to be Amish!!
Spring Break - Longwood Gardens, Delaware
We spent a day close to our family's home and visited Longwood gardens. They were build by the very wealthy DuPont Family. Hands down the most beautiful gardens I've ever seen. I only wished my dad and grandfather could have been with us. They would have loved it!
